Abbott Hall of Conservation "Restoring Earth" Green Wall
The Field Museum
Explore the Amazon with your fingertips
The Field Museum, one of the world's premier natural history establishments, wanted a way to let visitors experience the Amazon rainforest up close, as if they were part of a scientific inventory team. Bluecadet created a captivating and educational touch wall that allows users to explore and adventure with the researchers, seeing what they see and experiencing firsthand the wonders of the Yaguas river in Peru.
The Green Wall is an interactive touch wall composed of three large screens located in the new "Restoring Earth" exhibition. Each screen contains brilliant imagery of the Yaguas, showing the river, its banks, and the dense Peruvian forest beyond. Users can journey with their fingertips to the depths of the lush grounds, and discover the rare and exquisite creatures living everywhere. They can travel with scientists and explore different portions of the rainforest by delving into the brush and selecting hotspots that call up images, videos, and information about each location.
Bluecadet and the Field Museum bring science alive in the "Restoring Earth" exhibit, which opened in November of 2011. Learn more about "Restoring Earth" or watch the video the Field Museum created on-site.
